Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain characteristics close to those of a rigid body and secure propulsive force with respect to the opposite direction by providing a tortion spring and a clutch spring and energizing the clutch spring by the spring torque of the tortion spring.
CONSTITUTION: When set pin 17 is removed, the spring torque of tortion spring 13 operates on core metal 10 and energizes lever 11 and presses belt 3 at all times in one direction via shaft 6 and pressure plate 4. Consequently, belt 3 maintains a proper tension at all times and it is pulled around pulleys 1, 2. When reaction force is exerted on pressure plate 4 in the direction of arrow C, core metal 10 tends to turn in the direction of the reaction force via lever 11, but its turning is stopped by clutch spring 14. That is, this propulsive force exerting mechanism 7 have characteristics close to a rigid body with respect to the above-described reaction force.
