Abstract
PURPOSE: To influence a tension on a flat recording paper with a simple constitution by a method wherein a clutch for switching a pair of recording paper feeding rollers between driving and following and a rubber belt between pulleys are provided in the recording paper feeding mechanism for a typewriter.
CONSTITUTION: When a handle 1 is turned into a direction 2, a gear 4 is rotated into a direction 5, a gear 7 connected to the gear 4 by meshing is rotated into a direction 8 and a shaft 29 connected by an one-way clutch with a steel ball 37 is rotated into a direction 31. Then, a pulley 13 and a paper feeding roller 16 are rotated into directions 25, 33 respectively and recording paper 18 is fed into a direction 19. In this case, a shaft 30 does not receive a rotating force of a gear 10 in a direction 11 by the one-way clutch and a pulley 14 and a roller 17 are followed into directions 26, 36 respectively, however, the rotation of the pulley 14 is slightly delayed than that of the pulley 13 due to an elongation of a rubber belt 15 and slips of respective pulleys and it functions to brake the recording paper 18.
