Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the device provided with the both functions of separating and conveying of transfer material by transmitting the rotating force of a drive roller to a separating belt from its outside peripheral surface, pressure-contacting and sandwiching the separating belt by the both drive and idler rollers and conveying the transfer material by the both drive and idler rollers.
CONSTITUTION: A separating belt 11 for transfer material P is put on a number of rollers 9aW9c disposed to the one side of a photosensitive drum 1 so as to enclose the drum. An idler roller 14 is mounted rotatably by way of a bearing 16 to the shaft 15 of the drum 1 and the separating belt 11 is pressed to part of its peripheral surface in arc form by means of the drive roller 19 and pressure contact roller 20 in such a manner that its surface aligns to the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum. By driving the drive roller 19 at the same peripheral speed as the drum 1, the separating belt 11 is turned at the peripheral speed of its outside peripheral surface coinciding with the peripheral speed of the photosensitive drum, at which time the idler roller 14 is also driven to revolve. This enables the separating device provided with a function of conveying the transfer material at the same instant of separating the same.
