Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the operational load of a clutch in a device to push a clutch disk and a clutch plate by a clutch spring in the direction of friction and catching by adjusting the above-said spring to be constricted for the acceleration of an engine and to be expanded for the deceleration.
CONSTITUTION: In a clutch device adequate to an autocycle, the output of an engine is transmitted to a driven shaft 2 via a drive shaft 1, gears 3, 5, a clutch outer 4, a clutch disk 6, a clutch plate 8, clutch inners 7, 12, and cams 9, 11. At this stage, when the state of operation is in neutral or the like, a convex cam 18 of a movable cam 9 is caught by a concave cam 17 of a stated cam 11 at the innermost position, and the length l of a cluch spring 10 is brought up to the maximum, that is, the load of the spring is reduced to the minimum for simplifying the later operation of a plate 7 by a piece 14. Meanwhile, for acceleration, since the cam 9 goes ahead of the cam 11, the cam 9 is shifted axially via the convex cam 17, and the spring 10 is constricted for tightening the catching of the clutch.
