Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When a gear 5 is shifted in the direction of arrow D, the dock 41 is fitted in a groove 27 of a gear 6. Accordingly, a turning force A acts in the direction of arrow A due to the power transmitted from the main shaft 1 and the end surface of dock 41 touches a face 22 of a latchet 20 so as to press this latchet 20 onto the central shaft. Herefore, the latchet 20 can not make a revolution because it hits the side face of the groove 27 closer to the center, being followed by the status of gears 5, 6 engaged with each other, realizing transmission of a turning force. On the other hand, if a turning force acts along the arrow B when the gears 5, 6 are engaged with each ther the end of the dock 41 on the gear 5 hits the face 21 of the latchet 20 which is pushed up by-swinging around the shaft 24, while the dock 41 passes under the latchet 20. Therefore, gears 5, 6 are not engaged with each other to be led in a racing status.
