Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to find leakage of fluid from the outside, by constructing the tube-end supporting plate in a double-plate structure, and forming a leaked-fluid discharging passage between the two plates.
CONSTITUTION: Tubes 5 of heat exchanger 6 are supported at their opposite ends by double plates 1, 2, and a space 4 is formed between these two plates in the manner that its peripheral portion is sealed in water-tight manner. Further, a leaked-fluid discharging passage 3 is formed at a lower portion of the space 4. With such an arrangement, fluid leaked from the junction between plate 1 and tubes 5 is discharged from space 4 to the outside via passage 3, so that troubles caused inside the heat exchanger can be detected with ease. Further, if detection of the trouble is delayed, it is prevented that fluid in tubes 5 and that flowing outside the tubes 5 are mixed with each other. Since it is also applied to the plate 2 and tubes 5, leakage of fluid can be detected with ease.
