Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic one-component static charge image developer with high heat roll fixability and high non-offsettability by blending a resin component composed of a styrene-butadiene type copolymer and polyethylene wax with magnetic fine powder.
CONSTITUTION: A resin component composed of a styrene-butadiene copolymer preferably containing 10W20wt% of butadiene or a styrene-vinyl-toluene copolymer and polyethylene wax with a MW of about 5000 or less and a heat melting viscosity of about 600cps or less is blended with magnetic fine powder, kneaded with heating, cooled to ordinary temp., pulverized, and classified to gather powder with a desired particle size of about 5W25μ, thus obtaining a developer. Acrylic resin, styrene type resin or the like may be mixed into the above-mentioned resin component.
