Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a dry toner free from cohesion during storage and having superior fluidity by melt-sticking fluidizing resin fine particles to the surfaces of colored resin particles obtd. from a coloring agent and resin. CONSTITUTION:A coloring agent such as carbon black, nigrosine or aniline blue and styrene resin, phenol resin, epoxy resin or other resin are mixed, melt kneaded with a roll heated to the melting temp. of the resin, cooled, and pulverized to particles having an about 5-30mum paritcle size distribution. The resulting colored resin particles are mixed with fluidizing fine particles of silicone resin, fluororesin or other resin with about 0.1-2mum particle size in about 1:(0.0005-0.002) ratio, and the mixture is passed through an atmosphere heated to the melting temp. of one of the resins. Thus, the fluidizing resin fine particles are stuck to the surfaces of the colored resin particles to obtain the desired toner.
