Abstract
PURPOSE: To widen the temperature range, within which no offset phenomenon takes place, even in case the image prepared by developing an electrostatic latent image is fixed with the use of a noram heating roller fixing device, by containing a thermophastic rubber substance and a parting substance in a magnetic toner.
CONSTITUTION: 2 to 40 wt.%, preferably, 4 to 10 wt.% of thermoplastic rubber substance such as a copolymer of alkylenevinyl acetate containing a thermoplastic resin such as stylene polymer, 40 to 70 wt.% of a magnetic material and 10 to 40 wt.% of vinyl acetate, 0.1 to 10 wt.%, preferably, 1 to 3 wt.% of a parting substance such as polypropyrene, and a coloring agent are heated and blended, and the mixture is pulverized and subjecte to heat treatment to produce a monocomponent magnetic toner which has a mean diameter of 5 to 30 μm but comtains no toner having a diameter less than 1 μm. Thus, the degree to master contamination can be reduced.
