Abstract

PURPOSE: Title composition having excellent water resistance, low absorption of water and low dielectric loss and being useful as a material for electronic parts, comprising, as the main components, a specific polyamideimide and a polymer having units derived from a fluorine-containing monoethylenically unsaturated monomer.
CONSTITUTION: The resin composition of the purpose is produced as follows. Forty to ninety-nine (40W99)wt% of (a) a polyamideimide having at least 50mol% of repeating units represented by formula I or II, wherein A1 is a tetravalent aliphatic, aromatic or alicyclic residue; A5 and A7 are each a trivalent aliphatic, aromatic or alicyclic residue; A2, A3, A4, A6 and A8 are each a bivalent aliphatic, aromatic or alicyclic reidue; m1, m4, m5, m7, and m8 are positive integers; and m2 and m3 are 0 or positive integers; is mixed with 60W1wt% of (b) a polymer having at least 10mol% of units derived from a fluorine-containing monoethylenically unsaturated monomen such as tetrafluoroethylene. The resulting mixture is so compounded that the total of the components (a) and (b) constitutes at least 50wt% of the resin composition.
