Abstract
PURPOSE: A water-repellent oil composition with excellent durability and fouling resistance, comprising a monomer containing polyfluoroalkyl groups and a copolymer containing functional groups which are stable at ordinary temperature and in water and have groups convertible into -N=C=O group at high temperatures, as the main components, and a blender copolymer containing an anionic compound and the aforesaid functional groups.
CONSTITUTION: The main component composed of an acrylate or methacrylate containing C3 to C20 polyfluoroalkyl groups and a copolymer containing as constitutional units functional compounds with radicals of the formula 1 which are convertible into -N=C=O group at more than 100°C and stable at ordinary temperature and in water, is mixed with 1 to 900 wt parts, preferably 50 to 200 wt parts, of a blender copolymer containing as constitutional units an anionic compound with -SO3M group or -OPO3M group (where M in H, -NH4, or an alkali metal) on the basis of 100 wt parts of the main component and the aforesaid functional compound to obtain the oil composition.
