Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase a sensor output by increasing variation in resistance corresponding to a raise in temperature through catalysis by forming a high resistance on an element of small surface area.
CONSTITUTION: Resistance lines 2a and 2b provided on both arm parts 1a and 1b of substrate 1 are made of Pt. On resistance line 2a provided on one arm part 1a, a catalyst is supported. In substrate 1, heating body 5 is buried along arm parts 1a and 1b and at the lower end of substrate 1, input terminals 6a and 6b are provided. On the surface of substrate 1, a ceramic coating layer is provided in order to prevent troubles such as the formation of a short circuit due to carbon deposition in exhaust gas.
