Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a special optical system while thinning a solid spectroscope, by connecting a diffraction lattice and focusing optical system, formed on the circumferential wall surface of a plastic thin-film light transmission line, to an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Core film 1, sandwiched between clad films 2 and 3, is arranged on substrate 7, so that light 8 propagating through optical fiber 4 will connect completely with core film 1. This laminate film 9 is cut in the shape of the optical system of the spectroscope; hologram 11 is formed on wall surface 10, and optical fibers 4 and 14 are connected to other wall surfaces 12 and 13. Consequently, the solid sepctroscope can easily be thinned and its film thickness can be changed freely, so that it can be applied to various optical fibers. Further, photocoupling can be smoothed by equalizing the size of laminate film 9 to those of optical fibers 4 and 14, eliminating the need for a special optical system between the both.
