Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently recover a boron component in exhaust gas contg. the component and moisture by contacting the gas to a cooling medium to condense the component and the moisture on the medium surface and heating them with exhaust gas to concentrate or separate the component.
CONSTITUTION: Vessel (a) is internally installed with a finned coil through which a cooling medium such as cooling air or water is passed, and medium temp. exhaust gas shown by arrow B is fed into vessel (a), where it is cooled with the coil to condense moisture and a boron component on the coil surface. The condensates are sent to receiver (b) through valve 6 and spouted from nozzle 8 of vessel (c) with pump 7 to concentrate the boron component with high temp. exhaust gas. During this time the high temp. gas is cooled and fed to separator (d) as medium temp. exhaust gas together with the conc. boron component. The medium temp. gas separated from the boron component is then fed to vessel (a) like the arrow, cooled, and taken out as low temp. exhaust gas C. In separator (d) the boron component is recovered.
