Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform ink-drip deflection to the exact position by proportioning electrification charge volume to the product of a designated deflection volume and the weight of ink drip in ink-jet recording wherein halftone recording is conducted by changing the size of ink drip. CONSTITUTION:A charging-voltage control means 7 is given a picture signal from a signal line 8 and a deflection-volume designating signal from a deflection-volume designating means 9, thereby generating the voltage controlled to change in proportion to the product of the weight of ink drip and the volume of deflection and impressing a charging electrode 5. Hereby ink drips different in weight are given equal acceleration at a deflection electrode 10, which equalizes the volume of deflection for ink drips different in weight.
