Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality printing with no slippage by means wherein the existence of a preceeding ink drop is detected and controls the speed of jet ink drops by the existence, whereby correction of printing slippage is performed in a speed control deflection type ink jet recording device. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet type recording device consists of an ink jet head 3, charging electrodes 4, deflecting electrodes 6, an exciting circuit 1, etc. A dot information generating circuit 10, a means for controlling the injection speed of ink drops and a means for detecting the existence of a preceeding ink drop, are installed to the device, and the speed of jet ink drops is controlled by the existence of the preceeding ink drop. That is, the injection speed of the ink drops in the case when there is the preceeding ink drop is made slower than the speed in the case when there is no preceeding ink drop, thus protrating flying time passing between the deflecting electrodes 6, then correcting the positional slippage of printing dots being accompanied by the decrease of the quantity of charging.
