Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a deflection control of an ink particle sure and to prevent generation of an unnecessary dot by a method wherein a passing timing of the ink particle through a deflecting electrode and an impressing timing of a deflecting signal to the electrode are coincided only when an amount of deflection is big. CONSTITUTION:An ink particle P ejected from a nozzle 4 is accelerated by an accelerating electrode 6. Further, it is deflected by Y-axis deflecting electrodes 7a, 7b and an X-axis deflecting electrode and is arrived on a recording paper 11. In this case, an unnecessary ink particle P is deflected downwardly by the Y-axis electrodes 7a, 7b in a great deal and is removed by a target 10. When the ink particle P has passed through a portion of the accelerating electrode 6, the electrode 6 is induced electrostatically and the induced signal is sent to a controlling portion. Based on the signal, the controlling portion is operated so that a passing timing of the ink particle through the deflecting electrodes and a timing of impressing of a deflecting signal to the deflecting electrode are coincided with an amount of a recorded letter is big.
