CONSTITUTION:In parallel with the main SCRs 11, 12, the series circuit of metallic oxide system non-linear resistor 13 and current limit resistor 14, and the series circircuit of auxiliary SCR15, commutating capacitor C16 and commutation reactor 17 are connected. The bypass diode D18 is connected to SCR15 and the auxiliary charging unit 21 consisting of the current limiting reactor 19 and assistance charging resistor 20 is connected between the anode of SCR15 and the negative bus. The current to the inductive load 22 is rapidly relinquished by conducting SCR15, discharging the charge of C16 through SCR11 and bypassing it to the resistors 13 and 14. Thus, the amount of excessive charge stored in C16 can be minimized after interruption and post charging is surely made in a short time with the assistance charging unit of small capacity, enabling the re-interruption after re-closing and small sized unit.
