Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the batteries of different charge and discharge characteristics to be used in common, by connecting the various batteries to an inverter via step-up or step-down choppers. CONSTITUTION:To connecting points between a converter 1 and an inverter 2, a lead storage battery 5a via a step-up or step-down chopper 11a, and a solar battery 5b via a step-up or step-down chopper 11b are connected. The step-up or step-down choppers 11a, 11b are controlled so that according to the charge and discharge characteristics of each of the batteries 5a, 5b, the voltage of the batteries 5a, 5b and the DC voltage of the inverter 2 may be combined with each other. As a result, the batteries of the different charge and discharge characteristics can be connected to the connecting points between the converter and the inverter.
