Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the divided voltage withstanding resistance of a high frequency inverter by respectively connecting bypass diodes parallel to capacitors and eliminating the variation in the terminal voltage of the dividing capacitors even if a load is varied. CONSTITUTION:Bypass diodes D1, D2 are respectively connected parallel to dividing capacitors C1, C2. When a thyristor Th1 is conducted so that a current i2 flows in a circuit consisting of the thyristor Th1, a reactor L1, a capacitor C3, a reactor L, and the capacitor C2 to charge the capacitor C2 in the polarity as shown with the result that the voltage of the connecting point A becomes higher than the power source voltage, a diode D1 is conducted ON. The ON conditions of the diode D1 are that the current i2 flows based on the ON of the thyristor Th1, the voltage VC1 of the capacitor C1 is decreased upon flowing of the current, the diode D1 starts, when VC1=0, to conduct, the conducts to the point when the current become i1-i2=0 while the VC1 maintains zero. Thereafter, the diode D1 becomes OFF in the range of i1-i2>0. Thus, the capacitor is prevented from being charged at the negative voltage thereby suppressing the variation in the voltage.
