CONSTITUTION:An electric discharge machining power source DC, a switching element Q1, and a charging resistance R3 constitute a large current charging circuit, and the power source DC, a switching element Q2, and a charging resistance R4 constitute a small current charging circuit. Then, a condenser C is rapidly charged up to a certain electric potential by the large current charging circuit, and then, said condenser C is gradually charged up to an expected electric potential by a small current charging circuit, so that ripples are controlled to be small even when motions of the elements Q1, Q2 are somewhat delayed. By such constitution, charging control, which is more accurate compared to the case in which only a large current charging circuit is employed, becomes possible, and the device can be charged comparatively rapidly.
