Abstract

PURPOSE: To equalize fluctuation of water flow speed and surely prevent water hammering by issuing a control command to a discharge valve through direct calculation of any change in flow speed from discharge flow.
CONSTITUTION: A limit switch 17 which is on for a range from 'half' to 'full open' of a discharge valve 2 functions as a hold circuit to provide continuous operation, when the degree of valve opening exceeds a preset level and to provide a signal of intermittent operation for a range from 'full close' to 'half open'. This signal and on-off control command of the discharge valve 2 are put in an AND circuit to control the valve 2. This control of discharge valve 2 through the rate of fluctuation of flow can equalize the fluctuation of flow speed and prevent water hammering action.
