CONSTITUTION: Ethylene is polymerized using a catalyst prepared by mixing (A) a solid product obtained by (1) reacting 1 mole of magnesium dialkoxide with 0.1W2 moles of a halogen-containing tetra-valent titanium compound and ≥0.1 mole of an alcohol, and (2) reacting the reaction product wiht a titanium halide in the presence of an alkoxy-containing silicon compound, and (B) an organo- aluminum compound.
