Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the title polymer suitable for blow molding, etc., and having excellent whiteness and heat stability, without de-ashing process, by the use of a highly active polymerization catalyst comprising a solid component obtained by calcining a reaction product of a specific Cr compound and a Ti compound.
CONSTITUTION: Ethylene is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst comprising (A) a solid component obtained by calcining a reaction product of dialkyl chromate with titanium tetraalcoholate supported on an inorganic oxide carrier such as silica, etc., and (B) a reaction product of hydrocarbyl polysiloxane with trialkylaluminum or alkylaluminum halide.
EFFECT: As the catalyst has high activity, the amount of the catalyst can be reduced and the de-ashing process can be eliminated.
