Abstract

PURPOSE: To determine solid hydrogen with a high precision by a sample vessel equipped with a flow path change unit, a carrier gas supply means, and a gas analyzer.
CONSTITUTION: In case that a sample is inserted to sample vessel 1 or the sample vessel system is disconnected from the carrier gas supply system, valves 13 and 14 are closed, and three-direction valve 15 is changed over to supply carrier gas to the analyzed gas side through spare carrier gas path 10. In case that oxygen gas collected in sample vessel 1 is analyzed at a fixed temperature for a fixed time, the sample vessel system is connected to the carrier gas supply system by carrier gas connection joints 6 and 7, and next, valves 13 and 14 are opened, and three-direction valve 15 is changed over to close spare carrier gas path 10 and connect analyzer 12 and valve 14, and impure gas invading the gas path is excluded, and after that, three-direction valves 3 and 4 are switched to lead oxygen gas in vessel 1 to analyzer 12 and analyze it.
