Abstract

PURPOSE: To simply measure the transmitted hydrogen, by using the high sensitivity gas analyzer measuring the solution cell and the amount of transmitted hydrogen.
CONSTITUTION: The high sensitivity gas analyzer 11 assembled with the gas analyzer exhaust unit 12 and the spare exhaust unit 13 is connected to the solution cell 1 assembled with the solution cell flange 2 providing O-ring on the opposing surface and the flange 3 at analyzer side. Further, the metal sample 5 is located between the solution cell flange 2 and the flange at analyzer side 3, and after it is fixed with the bolt 4 via O-ring, and the part in tube and the high sensitivity gas analyzer 11 is exhausted with the spare exhauster 13 and the gas analyzer exhauster 12, and after that, the cock 7 is open and corrosive solution is injected in the solution cell 1 from the separating funnel 6. Thus, the hydrogen generated from the metal sample 5 in contact with corrosive solution and transmitted from the metal sample 5 flows to the high sensitivity gas analyzer 11 and the transmitted hydrogen can continuously be measured with a simple operation without giving special processing to the metal sample 5.
