Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a hydrogen analysis value quickly at a high accuracy with a high sensitivity, by using a semiconductor type hydrogen gas detector to enable immediate analysis under a heat immediately after a sampling. CONSTITUTION:A carrier gas through a flow controller 4 from a cylinder 1 is fed to a measuring cell 9 via a sample storage section 8 and a reference hydrogen gas through a flow controller 4' and a measuring device 7 from a cylinder 2 is sent to a cell 9 via a passage switch 6 and the storage section 8. At the same time, air via a dehumidifier 5 and a flow controller 4'' is sent to the cell 9 being mixed with the carrier gas from an air pump 3. An output signal of a semiconductor type hydrogen gas detector 10 is processed to calculate an integration intensity of a detection peak via an amplifier 13 and a data processor 14. Thus, the concentration of hydrogen in a molten steel sample is calculated from a relational expression between the reference hydrogen gas previously stored and an output signal of the detector 10 to be shown on an analysis results display device 15.
