Abstract

PURPOSE:To accelerate the synchronous lead-in and thus shorten the phase lead-in time by giving the control to the control circuit of the phase comparator of the sequence circuit type with the initial state setting signal which is set by the present reference input and the comparison input and irrespective of the past reference input and the comparison input. CONSTITUTION:The signal is supplied to input 1 of the phase synchronous oscillator, and the comparison is given to the phase difference between comparison input 9 and reference input 3 from dividers 2 and 8 through phase comparator 40 incorporating the sequence circuit. Then synchronous lead-in control circuit 11 operates when comparison output 5 exceeds the prescribed level to send out initial state setting signal 12 to dividers 2 and 8 as well as comparator 40. And dividers 2 and 8 are set to the initial state each, and at the same time the logic is set to 0 for the input end of comparator 40. Then voltage control variable oscillator 7 is controlled by the phase difference between the present reference input 3 and comparison input 9 and irrespective of the past inputs 3 and 9. As a result, the synchronous lead-in can be accelerated to shorten the phase lead-in time.
