CONSTITUTION:An up-and dwon-counter 2a can variabley set the number of counts by count-up as a loop filter. A phase detection circuit 7 detects the phase difference betwen an input timing signal A and an output frequency G of a variable frequency divider 5a constituting a digital voltage controlled oscillator 6 and outputs a signal corresponding to the phase diffeence. Based on the phase difference output from the circuit 7, the number of counts of the counter 2a until count-up can variably be set. Thus, the function of the loop filter can not be lost and the time for phase synchronism can be decreased.
