Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent ink particles from being combined with another or from being absorbed to another, by applying an electric charge, which is capable of nullifying an inducing charge to such ink particles that are not used for printing. CONSTITUTION:Oscillation of a constant frequency is applied to pressurized ink in an injection head 5 so as to eject the ink from a nozzle of the injection head 5. The ejected ink is regularly divided into ink particles D1-D6... as the ejected ink advances. A charging electrode 7 is disposed in a position where the ejected ink is divided into ink particles, to apply a charging voltage to, for example, an ink particle D1. Since the ink particles D2-D6 which receive no charging voltge and which are not used for printing also have an inducing charge, an electric charge which is opposite to the electric charge possesed of the ink particles D2-D6 and which is capable of rendering the mentioned electric charge unavailable is applied to the ink particles D2-D6. Thus, the inducing charge on the ink particles D2-D6 is nullified.
