Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable casting to be done perfectly to the last without allowing the material to be melted in a molten state to solidify by providing a heating element being an electrical conductor around the continuous casting nozzle of an induction heating melting furnace and around the bottom of its melting crucible. CONSTITUTION:When there are a plenty of materials to be melted within the melting crucible 2 of the continuous casting machine, the material to be melted is sufficiently melted through the electromagnetic induction action by the inductive coil disposed around the same, whereby the casting is progressed. When the material to be melted in the crucible 2 becomes small in amount, it is not so much heated by the coil 4, but the heating element 9 disposed around the continuous casting nozzle 3 and around the bottom of the crucible 2 is heated by the coil 4, so that the portions around the nozzle 3 and around the bottom of the crucible 3 are sufficiently retained of heat. Hence, the material to be melted which has not been so much heated by the coil 4 may be retained of the molten state without being cooled and the casting done perfectly up to the last.
