CONSTITUTION: A guanosine-producing microorganism that belongs to Bacillus and resists chlorine ion, cysteic acid, 6-methylaminopurine, 2-thioxanthine or mycophenolic acid, e.g., Bacillus subtilis AJ-11312 (FERM-4823), is cultured in a liquid culture medium containing adenine at 24W40°C and 5.0W9.0pH, preferably under an aerobic condition to accumulate guanosine in the medium and the guanosine is collected.
