Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify manufacture and reduce cost, compared with the evaporation method, by the use of electroplating in forming a conducting layer which becomes a lead take-out electrode.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetoelectric converter element 2 is formed in a fixed pattern on insulating base 1. Next, photosensitive layer 6 is formed, by covering only the magnetosensitive surface, by hot-resist processing. Then electroplating is operated on lead take-out electrode surface 4, which is exposed on base 1, and on scribe line 5; and thereby, conducting layer 7, consisting of Au, etc., is formed. Then, photosensitive resin layer 6 is removed, base 1 is cut along the scribe line, and element 2 is obtained. By this, compared with the evaporation method, manufacturing is simplified, and cost is reduced; particularly suitable for quantity production of elements.
