Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the production of NOx and to perform a perfect operation of a gas turbine, by a method wherein guide vanes are located at an outlet of a steam passage of a fuel injection valve so that an injected steam will whirl, and a flame- cooling effect is produced resulting from the riftless surrounding of a circulating flame.
CONSTITUTION: Guide vanes 14 are located at given intervals on an inner surface of a ring 15, and are secured on a fuel injection valve 1 through the medium of the ring 15. The guide vane 14 is twisted such that a plate, stretching from an inner surface of the ring 15 toward the axis of the ring 15, forms a generatrix which stretches obliquely at a lower end of the ring 15 from the axis of the ring 15 toward a lower front of the ring 15. This format cuases a steam S flowing in from the upper part to flow out such that the steam will whirl in the direction being oblique to the front. The steam S is injected frontward in the injected direction of the fuel injection valve 1 to form a riftless steam film 16 at the front of the injection valve, so formed riftless film isolating a circulating flame 4. Furthermore, the steam film 16, becoming a strong whirling current, can reduce a flame temperature effectively.
