Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the stage efficiencies of the second stage and succeeding stages providing a semicircular guide plate mating with a partial injection angle at the outlet part of the initial stage, in a steam turbine using a partial injection at the initial stage.
CONSTITUTION: The initial Curtis stage comprises a rotating part consisting of the first row moving vane 2 add the second stationary vane 3, a passage part consisting of stationary vane 7a and guide vane 8 which are implantedly provided radially in correspondence to the partial injection angle. A semicircular guide plate 11 having U-shaped cross section and mating with the partial injection angle is provided at the outlet part from the central part from the moving vane 3 to the tip end. A steam flow (A) branched from the main flow (S) flows along the guide plate 11 in the peripheral direction, and reaches a place in which a steam shield 9 is provided, where it is released to a pressure chamber 10.
