Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of a double flow type diaphragm structure in a steam turbine due to the interference of an axle with packing rings by preventing the diaphragm from floating together with a wheel chamber concentric with a turbine axle when disassembling the turbine.
CONSTITUTION: In a low pressure steam turbine which operating steam 7 introduced into the steam turbine passes a nozzle wing 4, works at blades 5 and then flows to a next stage, a double flow type diaphragm 1 has upper and lower half diaphragms 1a, 1b. The outer peripheral projection of the lower half diaphragm 1b is inserted into the diaphragm inserting groove 1c on the inner surface of the lower half wheel chamber 2b, and is coupled by a supporting bar 11a. A supporting bar groove 11h is formed at the bore end of the connecting surface of the lower half diaphragm 1b to the upper half diaphragm 1a. A bolt 16a is passed from the steam passage side of the lower chamber 2b to the groove 1c side to be inserted thereto, thereby preventing the diaphragm 1b from floating by the bolt 16a.
