Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuation of ignition timing caused by the variation of engine speed in low engine speed range by using for the ignition signal an angle signal corresponding to the crank angle delayed for a fixed angle when the engine speed is lower than a fixed speed. CONSTITUTION:An angle position detecting device, i.e. a signal coil 8 for generating ignition signals is synchronized with the rotation of the engine and adapted to provide a first angle signal (a) corresponding to the fixed crank angle of the engine and a second angle signals (b) corresponding to a crank angle delayed for a fixed angle relative to the angle where the first angle signal (a) is provided. An ignition timing calculating circuit 15 calculates the ignition timing using the first angle signal (a). The results of the calculation is sent to an opening and closing element 7 from a control circuit 40 when the engine speed is higher than a fixed speed and the second signal (b) also is sent to the opening and closing element 7. When the engine speed is lower than a fixed speed, only the second angle signal (b) is sent to the opening and closing element 7.
