Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an erroneous operation at starting by providing additionally a means to stop an ignition timing performance according to knock signal at an engine starting to a control system to suppress knocking through retarding an ignition time upon detection of the knock signal. CONSTITUTION:A rotation signal from a rotation signal generator 9 drives a switching circuit 11 through wave shaping circuit 10 and phase shifter 8 and intermits feeding to an ignition coil 12 to generate an ignition voltage. When there occurs a knocking in this case, it is compared with a signal coming through a noise level detector 5 on a comparator 6 after an output of acceleration sensor 1 passes a frequency filter 2 and an analog gate 3. Then it controls the phase shifter 8 through an integrator 7 according to the output, thus suppressing the knocking. In this case, an erroneous operation at starting in prevented by providing a phase shift stopping circuit 14 connected to a starting switch circuit 13 turned on only at starting between the phase shifter 8 and the integrator 7.
