Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of work, by controlling the temperature of lubricating oil circulated in the spindle head part in such a manner as to follow up any changes in the temperature of a machining liquid supplied to the work to be processed. CONSTITUTION:The difference between a temperature detected by a temperature detector 30 for machining liquid and that determined by a temperature detector 38 for lubricating oil is calculated by an operation circuit 40, and the thus-obtained arithmetic value is compared with a value preset by a setting circuit 41, by means of a comparator circuit 42. A control signal outpt from this comparator circuit 42 is adapted to activate or deactivate a switching circuit 43, thereby to connect the power source to a heater 35 or cooler 36. In this way, the temperature of the lubricating oil can be regulated in such a manner as to follow up any changes in the temperature of the machining liquid.
