Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the reflux of leaked hydrogen gas or its inflow to the collector chamber and to improve the reliability of the entire rotary machine by providing oil sumps in the external slush pipes which lead to the air extraction tank of the bearing slush.
CONSTITUTION: The bearing slush pipes 4 are exclusively used for the external bearing slush, the oil sumps 8 are provided in the pipes. The internal bearing slush and external shaft seal slush are led to the air extraction tanks 5 by the internal bearing slush pipe 9. Also the air discharge pipe 10 is connected to the air extraction tank 5. In this way, the reflux of leaked hydrogen gas or its inflow to the collector chamber can be prevented to improve the reliability of the entire hydrogen cooling rotary machine, in can safely be used for a long term.
