Abstract

PURPOSE: To povide a structure of rotor bearing capable of preventing leakage of oil to the outside, in which an air duct is provided separately of an oil feed pipe for transmitting the suction force of a gas extractor positively to bearing box independently of the behavior of oil in the oil feed pipe.
CONSTITUTION: In oil tank 1, there is provided a gas extractor 6 for keeping the inside of oil tank 1 at a negative pressure. Resultantly, inside of bearing box 4 is also kept at a low vacuum via spaces 13W15 of main oil feed pipe 10 and small- sized oil feed pipe 5. Here, if pipe 5 is choked at its curved portion 16, suction force of gas extractor 6 is not transmitted to bearing box 4 via space 15. In order to overcome such a circumstance, an air duct 11 is provided to extend from the space in bearing box 4 to an upper portion of main pipe 10 where behavior of oil is stable, by-passing curved portion and other portions of small pipe 5 where speces 14, 15 are liable to be choked by oil. With such an arrangement, suction force of gas extractor 6 can be transmitted positively to bearing box 4 independently of the behavior of oil in pipe 5, so that leakage of oil from bearing box 4 to the outside can be prevented.
