Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent performance of lubricating oil from degradation in a turbine installation for driving a turbine with low boiling operative medium like Flon gas by providing a heater in a lubricating oil tank to gasify and remove the operative medium dessolved into lubricating oil in a bearing.
CONSTITUTION: A turbine rotor 4 journalled by bearings 6 provided on both ends thereof and supplied forcibly with lubricating oil through a oiling device II. Flon gas leaking from a shaft packing 5 contact lubricating oil in the bearings 6 to be dissolved therein and flow in an oil tank 12 through a space 6' around said bearings 6 and an oil discharging pipe 17. This oil tank is provided with a heater III for removing Flon in lubricating oil. The heater III is consitituted to heat lubricating oil 18 and vaporize Flon in the lubricating oil 18 so that the Flon gas can be recovered to a condenser 7 through an exhaust pipe 22.
