Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the position of sintering point to a definite location by a method wherein a oscillating type radiation pyrometer is mounted on the position of sintering point above the pallet of a sintering machine for iron ore, etc. to measure the surface temperature of sintered ore, and average value of variation ratio is used to control the speed of the pallet.
CONSTITUTION: Sintered material 5 in a constant thickness is mounted on a pallet 1, is fired with a ignition furnace 6, and air is sucked through the material 5 layer from wind boxes 7 to sinter the material. A radiation pyrometer 11 oscillates within an angle α over the material layer and measures the temperature of the sintered layer 5 in a definite range. The temperature gradient of the sintered layer 5 in this range is obtained, temperature pattern is differentiated by the differentiator 13, which is smoothed by the smoother 14. Signal Vc from the comparator 15 passes through contact 12b inverter circuit 21b and is compared with the reference speed from the speed setter 19. The result enters the speed controller 18, output signal from which controls a pellet drive motor 17, so that pellet allows the sintering point position to meet the specified location.
