Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the temp. of compound raw material without fall in temp. of return ore so as to stabilize the sintering operation in sintering iron ore using a sintering machine having no hot screen, by regulation of the quantity of cooling air in order to maintain the temp. of exhaust gas for cooling sintered ore at a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: In cooling high temp. sintered ore by a cooler 5, exhaust gas temp. is measured with a thermometer 12 installed at an exhaust gas cylinder 4, and the results are fed to a control unit 11, to which is inputted the previously found relation between the exhaust gas temp. and return ore temp. The temp. measured by the thermometer 12 is compared with the inputted value in order to find whether the measured temp. is in the predetermined renge of the above described relation or not. The quantity of cooling air for cooling blowers 6AW6E is controlled so that the exhaust gas temp. falls in the range from 180 to 200°C. At that time, the temp. A of the return ore is 80W160°C. The return ore at the temp. is mixed with sintering raw material in a mixer 9 and is delivered to a ore-feeding tank 1.
