Abstract

CONSTITUTION: First, nickel plating is thickly formed on the casting surface of a mold body made of cast iron. Next, fine nickel powder is dispersed in a binder solution and is evenly deposited by spraying on this plating layer. When, it is sintered in a reducing atmosphere, a sponge-form nickel sintered layer is fixed to the nickel plated cast grooves, whereby the heat-insulating layer is formed.
