Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a direct measurement of the loss angle under the hot-line state by applying the measuring voltage to the measured electric circuit containing the earth line and then obtaining the signals proportional to the reactive and active components from the feedback current.
CONSTITUTION: The measuring voltage generated from oscillator 1 is applied to earth line EL via transformer 2. As a result, the current flows via insulated resistance R and floating capacity C. And the feedback current is detected by detecting resistance 4, and the necessary frequency component is applied to amplifier 6 through filter 5. At multiplier circuit 8, the output of amplifier 6 is multiplied by the voltage obtained by giving the 90°-phase shift to the voltage of oscillator 1, thus obtaining voltage e1 which is proportional to the reactive component. On the other hand, the output of amplifier 6 is multiplied by the output of oscillator 1 at multiplier circuit 10 to obtain voltage e2 proportional to the active component. These voltages e1 and e2 are applied to divider circuit 12 after amplification 9 and 10, and then voltage e2 is divided by e1 to obtain loss angle δ and dielectric loss tangent tan δ each.
