Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent foreign substances such as voids from to be included and obtain high uniformity at the time of heating and curing under pressure the inner insulative layer near the conductor and the outer insulative layer located at the outerside thereof by properly using the prepreg leaf-form insulators made of resins having different characteristics of curing temperature and time, and then utilizing contractile force of the thermal contraction tape.
CONSTITUTION: Water feeding pipes 3 having water through holes 2 are built in a copper belt 1 and turn insulators 4 are placed therein so as to form a coil in the ring form. An inner insulative layer 5 made of a prepreg leaf-form insulator using resins with high curing temperature is wound up near the copper belt 1 and an outer insulative layer 6 made of a prepreg leaf-form insulator using resins with low curing temperature is wound up at the outerside of the inner insulative layer 5. Both insulative layers are being cured by heating and pressuring. Then, high pressure steam is supplied to the water feeding pipes 3 to heat the copper belt 1. The outer layer 6 is heated by increasing temperature of the outside air. By so doing, the prepreg resin for the inner layer 5 heated at high increasing rate is cured late and one for the outer layer 6 heated at low increaing rate is softened by heating, so that there is caused no danger that they are cured before contractile force of a thermal contraction tape is transmitted to them.
