Abstract

PURPOSE: To clarify waste water completely and rapidly without leaving undecomposed pollutants by subjecting waste water to a continuous oxidation treatment in which O2-containing waste water is introduced into a rotor whose flux density is changeable and pollutants in waste water are decomposed by oxidation.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water to be introduced through the waste water supply tube 4 is mixed with O2-containing air through the path 5 and then passed through the aperture between the permanent magnet 10 attached to the casing 6 inside the reactor and the permanent magnet 3 attached to the rotor 11 rotating more than several ten times per second, whereupon an induced electromotive force and heat are produced in the O2-containing waste water due to a change in flux density, and also O2-containing gas present in the waste is dispersed into fine bubbles as the waste water passes by the periphery of the rotor 11 rotating in a narrow aperture beteen the circumferential walls. Thus, a cavitation is brought about in the waste water to excite electrons possessed by pollutants in the waste water, resulting in the rapid oxidative decomposition of the pollutants and also the clarification of waste water. The completely clarified treated water is continuously discharged from the discharge pipe 7.
