Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently purify waste water, by providing a disposal unit made of a porous piece in an activated sludge disposal vessel and connecting the disposal unit to a compressed air source and utilizing the outside surface of the disposal unit to disperse air and generate and propagate microbes.
CONSTITUTION: The waste water is introduced into the disposal vessel 1 through a pipe 3. Air is supplied from a compressed air pipe 2 to a passage in the porous piece 8 through an air distributing pipe 10 and then dispersed into the waste water 6 through the numerous pores of the outside surface B of the porous piece so that the generation and progagation of the microbes appropriate for the aerobic sludge disposal is accelerated near the outside surface B. The disposal unit may be arranged to divide waste water passages from each other in the disposal vessel to perform filtering action. In this case, a magnetic field may be applied to effect magnetic filtering action.
