Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance abrasion and corrosion resistance of an obtained title alloy by a method wherein an specific composition is prepared from W boroid and Ni of which a parts is replaced by one or more of Cr, Mo, Fe, Co, Fe boride, Co boride, Ni boride.
CONSTITUTION: This alloy comprises 30W70vol% of Ni of which 10W40vol% is replaced by one or more of Cr, Mo, Fe, Co, Fe boride, Co boride and Ni boride and a balance of W boride. Because this alloy is paramagnetism and has hardness almost equal to a hard metal, it is excellent in abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, especially corrosion resistance to human sweat.
